Directions

  4. Add beef broth, red wine, bay leaves, and thyme. Bring to a simmer.

  5. Cover and transfer to oven. Cook for 3-4 hours until tender.

  6. Boil potatoes until tender. Serve with pot roast. Reserve half of the pot roast and sauce for next day.

  • 1 lb egg noodles

Directions

  1. Cook egg noodles according to package instructions.

  2. In a pan, melt butter and stir in flour to make a roux.

  3. Slowly add beef broth, stirring until smooth and thickened.

  4. Add mushrooms and peas; cook until mushrooms are tender.

  5. Mix in reserved pot roast and heat through. Serve over egg noodles.

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).

  2. In a baking dish, spread reserved soup solids, top with green beans.

  3. Spread mashed potatoes over the top. Dot with butter.

  4. Bake for 30 minutes until golden brown. Serve hot.
