  • 1 lb ground turkey

  • 1 tbsp sambar powder

  • 1 large tomato, chopped

  • 2 tbsp tamarind paste

  • Salt to taste

Rice

  • 1 cup basmati rice

  • 2 cups water

Directions

  1. Heat coconut oil in a pan, add mustard seeds until they pop.

  2. Add onions, garlic, ginger, and chili; sautรฉ until onions are golden.

  3. Add ground turkey, cook until browned.

  4. Mix in sambar powder, tomato, tamarind paste, and salt. Cook for 10 minutes.

  5. Cook rice by boiling in water until tender. Serve with turkey keema.

Cookโ€™s Notes:

Reserve half of the turkey keema for the next day.


Day 2: Tamil Turkey Curry

  • 1 tbsp coconut oil

  • 1 tsp cumin seeds

  • 1 large onion, sliced

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 inch ginger, minced

  • 1 green chili, chopped

  • Reserved turkey keema

  • 1 can coconut milk

  • 1 tbsp coriander powder

  • Salt to taste

Directions

  1. Heat coconut oil in a pan, add cumin seeds until fragrant.

  2. Add onions, garlic, ginger, and chili; cook until onions are soft.

  3. Stir in reserved turkey keema, coconut milk, and coriander powder.

  4. Simmer for 15 minutes. Adjust salt.

Hold back 1 cup of the curry for the next day.


Day 3: Coconut Turkey Pulao

Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp coconut oil

  • 1 tsp turmeric powder

  • 1 large onion, sliced

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • Remaining reserved turkey curry

  • 1 cup basmati rice

  • 2 cups water

  • Salt to taste

Directions

  1. Heat coconut oil in a pan, add turmeric and stir.

  2. Add onions, garlic, and ginger; cook until onions are soft.

  3. Mix in remaining turkey curry and rice.

  4. Add water and salt, bring to a boil, then simmer until rice is cooked.
